RDU Blues – Blues & Fusion Dancing in the Triangle

About RDU Blues

What is RDU Blues?
RDU Blues is an organization dedicated to sharing the joy of blues and fusion dancing with the Triangle community in North Carolina. We hold weekly blues dances and semi-weekly fusion dances, go out dancing together, host workshops and dance classes, and travel together to out-of-state dance events.

When and where are dances?
We have a weekly Friday night blues dance at Triangle Dance Studios. We also have fusion dances on the second and fourth Saturday of each month. See more info on our regular dances. Or join the RDU Blues Facebook group – the best way to stay up to date!

How do I learn to blues dance?
There is a free beginner lesson before every Dance Blues Friday, at 8:00 p.m. at the Triangle Dance Studio. The content and the teachers rotate, so there’s always something new to learn — but absolutely no experience or partner is required.

To develop higher levels of dancing, there are many special workshops scheduled throughout the year both in the Triangle and in the greater Southeast region. Additionally, many instructors that you see teaching the group lessons are available for private lessons at reasonable rates — just ask.

But remember, the best way to improve your dancing is to get out there and dance as much as you can!
