Workshops & Exchanges
RDU Blues puts on at least one workshop a year where the community can come together, learn dance skills, and have fun. Plus we hold a yearly “exchange” event – Tobacco Road Blues Exchange (TRBX) – that focuses on live music, social activities & a ton of dancing! As a community group, our number one goal is a good, fun, safe time for all. Second to that, we also like really good dancing. 😉
Mark your calendars now for our next TRBX on January 26-28, 2018.

Time & activities
Our weekend workshops generally run from 10am — 6pm on Saturday and Sunday, with some flexibility. Often we’ll also have an evening dance or social activity in the evenings after classes end.
For Tobacco Road Blues Exchange (TRBX), we’ll have social activities or workshops in the afternoons, dances in the evening, and late-night dances until the wee hours.
For workshops, the price is generally $40-$80 per full workshop day. For TRBX, we usually offer multiple price options to help make the weekend accessible to all income levels. The prices are usually $55 – 100.
Our prices are based on the amount we need to cover costs like instructor pay, venue rental, and other organizational costs.
